ANDREW MUSWALA 

With over 10 years in the tourism and publishing industry starting in 2012 and in 2015 founded Safari magazine, the publisher of a high-end travel magazine Travel & Leisure Zambia, Zimbabwe & Botswana. Andrew is a born and bred Zambian who grew up in Lusaka. He is passionate about tourism and spends as much time as possible exploring the diverse ecosystems, wildlife and communities in his homeland Zambia, as well as neighbouring Zimbabwe and Botswana.


DEBORAH DICKSON-SMITH 

Travel writer, editor, scuba girl and passionate eco-warrior.

Deb has over 25 years’ experience in the world of publishing and has managed to travel (and dive) through most of the South Pacific and Southeast Asia. Deb has carved out a travel writing niche, now recognised as a specialist in sustainable travel, marine conservation and marine-based tourism. Deb now uses these experiences to design tailor-made dive holiday experiences for her clients at Diveplanit Travel. When Deb’s not planning dive holidays for her clients – or writing blog posts on the Diveplanit Blog she also writes for a number of travel publications, including Scuba Diver Magazine, Dive Log, Signature Luxury Travel & Lifestyle, Vacations & Travel, Get Lost, Escape and Holidays With Kids. 


ONDELA MLANDU 

Ondela Mlandu is an award-winning media and communications specialist with experience in journalism, digital marketing, radio broadcasting, and corporate communications. Ondela has contributed to national newspapers, magazines, and radio stations. She hosted podcasts for entrepreneurship platforms by interviewing people in the entrepreneurship sector, helping her keep abreast of what is happening in travel, business, leadership, and creativity. Ondela is the Southern Africa Region Community Champion for the Global Shapers Community, an initiative by the World Economic Forum and she is part of the class of 2022 Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans, as well as a Mandela Washington Alumni for 2024. 


VARSHA SINGH

Ms Varsha Singh, Editorial Director and Product Head of India Outbound, is a professional journalist with over 10 years of experience, notably seven years in her current role where she has ably led her team in making India Outbound the leading outbound travel media in India, with a clear focus on producing original and high-quality content, including articles, interviews, videos as well as social media posts that are immensely valued by the travel trade in India and overseas for its incise reports.

Ms Singh has been invited to over 25 countries to participate in leading events of the global travel industry, which allows her to share her insights about the way the Indian travel and tourism industry is developing. She has been the only Indian journalist invited to attend IPW in the US in the post-pandemic era.

Ms Singh obtained her Masters in English from Calcutta University and went on to pursue another Masters in Mass Communication, from St Xavier's College, also under Calcutta University. Ms Singh likes to listen to global music and her favourite beverage is the Indian chai.


OMOLOLU OLUMUYIWA

Mr. Omololu Olumuyiwa is a seasoned travel and tourism journalist with over two decades of experience. He serves as the Managing Editor of Travelscope Magazine, overseeing editorial operations, story development, and staff management. With a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, he has attended numerous global seminars on travel journalism. In 2008, he founded the Youth Tourism & Hospitality Leaders Forum (YTHLF), an educational event for young professionals and stakeholders in the industry. Recognized as one of Nigeria's Top 100 Tourism Personalities in 2018, Mr. Olumuyiwa has received multiple awards, including Runner-Up for Best Travel Reporter in 2019. 


SHARON WAUGH

Sharon Waugh is a former cruise ship entertainment host turned blogger and travel writer based in Cape Town. When she is not contributing to a number of travel publications, she is obsessed with uncovering and "Sharonicling" quirky attractions and offbeat adventures for her blog The Sharonicles. After visiting 58 countries, she is passionate about the life-changing magic of travel and inspiring others through storytelling to embark on their own adventures.
